We tried out a number of different new things this year for the holiday season. We met up with the Moores and Wingates at the Avenue in Perry Hall for the Christmas Tree Lighting Festivities. We also went back for the Christmas Parade on the Avenue. it was sooo cold, but very fun! We went to Valley View Farms and picked out a family ornament. This year we thought a porcelain nativity ornament of the first family that started Christmas was sweet. James was intensely interested in playing the "try-to-grab-as-many-ornaments-as-you-can-game" which necessitated a quick purchase. Our normal tradition of decorating the tree on Black Friday was now overseen by James who was quick to offer help with tangling the strands of lights up for us. We went to Aunt Debbie's fabulous Christmas party and tried more delicious recipes, including the best italian meatballs. We joined Mandy, Connor and Aunt Debbie at Kenilworth Mall to see the train garden, which the boys loved. We also went to meet Santa and get a fun family photo. Finally, by Christmas we went to Aunt Abby's for a Christmas Eve dinner and to Grammy's in the morning to open gifts and to Aunt Jenny's in the afternoon for a mad crazy fun family time. Cousin John blessed us all with lovely dollar store presents, such as Josh's yellow plastic watch and my brand new piggy bank.

James just has to make a few quick calls.
