Visiting the North Carolina Aquarium in Manteo.
I almost had a melt down when I could not find the anti-bacterial
in my purse after we "petted" the sting rays.
For Mother's Day, Josh and James treated me to a
beautiful dinner out at the Sunset Grille.
The Promenade was a lovely walk along the Sound Side of the water.
The hat only lasted as long as the picture. So much for that.
James LOVED the basketball hoop.
The Big Easy - our 4 level home for 7 nights and 8 days.
View showing the deck that leads to the big pool - which was icy cold, but pretty to look at!
The Currituck Corolla Lighthouse.
Fishing. No fish to be had, but the guys got some crabs and we all spotted a fun
sea turtle that wanted to get in on the crabbing.
Dad Miers and Mr. Lobster pose for a picture.
We all screamed a little when the lobster met its fate, but it was unfortunately too delicious to remember for long.
Renting beach Jeeps to explore the rural area.
Seeing the wild horses enjoying a drink off the water.
Our jeep.
On top of a sand dune that we drove.
Driving the beach Highway. Actual speed limits and regular highway laws applied.
Colonial Williamsburg - our halway stopping point on the way home.
Enjoying cheese and fruit plates with wine at the Gabriel Archer Tavern
at the Williamsburg Winery.
James claimed the strawberries.
James had a long week and was done with pictures and vacation.
James first Sonic drink (an Ocean Water). He loved it!
