So, since it is summer and I need to figure out how to entertain a tireless toddler, my girlfriend Erin and I decided a trip to the Washington DC free zoo would be worth our while. It was so much fun too, complete with uncaged orangatangs swinging on cables above our crosswalks! Parking was not bad and the food selection was definitely better than any other zoo, so this is a place we would definitely go again!
The landscaping was beautiful and included a
waterfall which Erin appreciated,
James appreciated the petting zoo where he
cheerfully referred to all the animals as a "woof!"
At first I was annoyed that there was such commotion on the pathway until I
looked up and saw an orangutang meandering across on a cable.
